Activities

Built to compliment the architectural style of surrounding dwellings, the cottage's exterior reflects the casual, restful and easy-going nature of the island. However, the internal design is pure indulgence right down to the large spa built at the northern end of the verandah. This is enveloped by large reflective-glass windows and Bali-style Pavilion doors, allowing guests both privacy and interaction with nature at the same time.

All guests are met personally at the jetty by us in our sign-written Jackaroo (for easy identification) and transported to the B & B, where they have a loaf of fresh hot home-baked bread and a basket of fresh fruit waiting for them, with the spa ready, inviting them to enjoy. After a short tour of the property which allows us to explain features to them and also assess any special requirements the guests' may have, we leave them to settle in, and start enjoying their holiday.

Lamb Island also offers an array of activities including:

  • Picnic and barbecue area (we provide a gourmet picnic basket of goodies for guests on request, as an extra)
  • A swimming enclosure only 250 metres away from the B & B
  • A tennis court only 300 metres away
  • A kiosk
  • A regular island to mainland and inter-island ferry service
  • Dugong and sea turtle breeding areas less than 200 metres away
  • Bird watching
  • Water activities-fishing, crabbing, boating, etc.

Lamb Island is just a short ferry ride from 3 other islands, Russell, Macleay and Karragarra, which have things to do and see.

Russell Island has Auntie Alice's Café, a good place for lunch. It also has an RSL Club and a Bowls Club, both of which provide a pickup service from the Jetty.

Macleay Island has The Blue Parrot Restaurant - (very good food, ideal for dinner or lunch), a Bowls Club, Golf Club and a Hotel. Boat hire is also available.

Karragarra has a nice sandy beach and picnic area with sheltered tables and free barbecues.
